The stage is set, the night explodes..."
Started this back in May 2010 as a vent... Inked it in August 2010, finally finished painting it today. Total painting time was about three hours, allowing it time to dry. The venting part of the painting is said and done, but the meaning is still there. Plus I love Barn Owls.
Medium: Acrylics on matte board
Time: Sketching/inking/painting = 5-6 hours total
Size: 20" h x 15" w
Inspired by Alesana's song "To Be Scared By An Owl" off their most recent album "The Emptiness". Check it out, but listen to the songs in order of their track listing the first few times. It's a beautiful but sad, bloody love story set during the late 1800s. I blasted this album all of summer 2010... it oddly paralleled a turning point in my life.
